Review

I am definitely a fan of this polish, it is a unique color/texture/style that I have never encountered before. The bottle is adorable and the brush fanned out nicely during application. Its a medium/dark green with tons of shimmers and glitters and flakies in it. While it appears to be a jelly-like polish after one coat, it is fully opaque after two which was surprising and amazing.  The formulation was a little thicker than I was hoping for, but was perfectly acceptable especially with a polish with that much delicious glitter in it. The best part was that even though I found it a tad thick, it was a piece of cake to spread out the sparkles and glitter evenly!

After I tried out some Seche Vite and Matte About You on top, I added some dragon scales because GAME OF THRONES IS THIS WEEEEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!! yesyesyesWHEREAREMYDRAGONSomg.

Thank you to Angela at Nail Potion #9 for the polish, I really enjoyed it :]

Manicurist Flowers

A few weeks ago when it got warm enough to wear shorts for a day I went out and got a pedicure, and the manicurist painted some adorable little flowers with a striping polish onto my big toes. I went out and bought some striping polishes and decided to try to recreate her flowers on my fingers :]

The red is OPI Big Apple Red, which is the most perfect shade of red ever. Also, hooray for filing down my almonds into my normal mini squovals. Ooh! and a very nice lady I met on r/redditlaqueristas is going to send me a polish she mixed herself to review and swatch and photograph and I am SO EXCITED I MIGHT DIE.

St. Patties meets Lana Del Rey

Last weekend was an exciting one, because not only was it St. Patricks Day but because I got to paint someones nails other than my own! I gave her a gold and green ruffian which looked adorable on her cute little nails, and after she said we should do this every weekend!! yessss. I’ll post a pic of hers once I take one.

For my mani I finally grew my nails long enough to start filing them into almonds, and decided to do a Lana Del Rey inspired mani except festive with green and gold :]

lanaI may have been a beer or two in which lead to poor clean-up and some shaky lines but I still love this mani and plan on revisiting it once my nails grow out a little more :]

Lace Wedding Mani

image_1 image_2 image

My awesome sister Sam is getting married this May and she asked me to do her nails, so instantly I went online and ordered a million shades of white, ivory, nude, and french and found a bunch of ¬†different wedding nail ideas and showed her all of them and she chose a gorgeous lace stamp mani from a french nail blog, so like the good sister I am I spent at least an hour remembering the french I learned in high school because google translate wasn’t being helpful. I got the name of the stamping plate and googled it to find one image of it on a portugese nail blog which led me to Etsy which had the stamping plate for super cheap :]

This is my first attempt with the stamping plate and I think I’ve just about got the technique down, I want to scoot the stamp lower down, perfect the dots for her nails and give a little more space to the elements because it feels crowded to me right now.

This is not my design, I got it from Tenshi no Hana, I deeeeeefinitely suggest visiting her blog even if its in french, she has such beautiful nail art, along with a lot of it, and great photos. She can be found at all of these locations:
